We had a busy week. Saturday, was the book signing event at Old Firehouse Books in Fort Collins, Colorado. We were met there by Mary Jane Horn Klepac, Vivian and Dave Fausset, and Don Seedle, friends from Longmont High School days. One of the benefits of publicizing your book is that you never know who will see your publicity, which can lead to reconnecing. That is what happened to my friends and me..
My assistant, Diane, and I sold six copies of Murder in the Rockies in an hour and the next day the store sold two more copies. And we had a wonderful time doing it.
We had to hurry home to get ready for a dog agility trial the next day. Colorado Kennel Club holds a four day Dog Show. One of the components of the show is dog agility. We were lucky enough to participate the final two days, Sunday and Monday. Unfortunately Buddy, the dog athlete, and me, the handler/coach both made bad mistakes or were too slow getting around the course or both.
Those who are not familiar with dog agility should look into it. It is the most fun you can have with your dog. I am told it is even more fun if you do well. I've never tried that.
Coming Events
Earlier in the week we were notified that Murder in the Rockies has been selected as one of the booksto take part in an event at the Englewood Public Library in which the public gets a chance to meet the authors of some of their favorite books. I don't have all of the details yet because the event does not take place until April 29. If you are in the Denver metro area, at the end of April, come and meet the authors.
