Murder on Money Mountain
As autumn winds down and the evenings get longer, you might start looking for a good winter book to pass the time. We recommend   Murder on Money Mountain. It is never to late to start looking for a good read.

International Guests
For a little more than a week we had the pleasure of two friends from Japan visiting as house-visitors. It is amazing how different ordinary tasks become when a visitor is helping.

We saw The Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, and  Breckenridge, old familiar places seen through the eyes of a stranger which made the discovery more exciting. The thing that the visitors liked the best was a hike though the edge of Denver and a visit by a doe and her half-grown fawn.

One of the sisters is an editorial writer for a Tokyo newspaper who is writing a story about the elders and different places of living.  She got two good interviews for research on her subject. On the other hand, I did not do much marketing for Murder on Money Mountain. We did have fun.

Murder on Money Mountain
The book seems to be doing well on it's own. The publisher has taken the "will not return" listing off MoMM which means that if a bookstore orders more books than it could sell,
John Kohler will buy back the extra books. This is an experiment and will not last long if Mr. Kohler has to buy back too many books. It shows that Kohler Books has confidence in Murder on Money Mountain.

The Best Part of the Year
Paris is recovering from the Olympic Games. We are already looking forward to L.A. 2028. The hot part of the summer is about to come to an end (soon I hope.) Kids are getting ready for school and football is just around the corner. Summer flowers are at their best and summer fruit is ready,

In Colorado peaches are almost at their prime.

Not to mention melons in the south-east part of the state and  Olathe Sweet Sweet Corn from the western-slope.

There are many festivals and concerts during the best time of the year.

Apologies
In trying to get my website up, I have been ignoring  my Blog-Master duties.

Big News (maybe)
Saturday, when I was cruising websites, I came across a hokey game. Preseason, Rockies, what ever, it was an NHL game and Landeskog was playing. After missing two whole seasons because of a knee surgery   it was good to see "The Captin" on the ice again. l and Avs fans everywhere wish him the best.
